Dubuque Arts Council has helped bring a world of talent to local students for more than 50 years.

Your support makes
it all possible.

For more than 50 years the Dubuque Arts Council has provided  cultural and artistic educational experiences to Tri-State students through our Artist in Residence program.

Generous gifts from friends of the Arts Council help us present a variety of diverse performing artists including musicians, vocalists, dancers, and actors to over 20,000 students in 32 area schools. Recently our artist  included Manhu, a group that performed music from China’s Stone Village, Ondezoka, a Japanese Taiko drumming troupe, UnniBoksasp, Ensemble, a quartet that shared music and dance from Norway, and Sheshbesh, an Arab-Jewish string ensemble.

These artists, through their performances, provide students with a unique opportunity to experience other cultures and diverse performing art forms. The Dubuque Arts Council brings a world of talent to area classrooms.

Because the council believes arts appreciation is a life-long pursuit, we are proud to present Music In the Gardens in addition to our school programming. Each consecutive Sunday evening for 13 weeks, starting on June 5, area residents of all ages can enjoy the community’s free summer concert series at the Dubuque Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. This is a perfect way to spend a relaxing evening with family and friends.
